After hitting it big with his debut album, Country Grammar, in the summer of 2000, Cornell Nelly Haynes went from just being a kid from St. Louis, Mo., to one of the most successful rappers atop the Billboard 200 chart. From that album alone, 9 million copies were sold, and from then went on to produce many albums that continuously filter car stereos and get bodies in motion.
Along with climbing Billboard charts by rapping his hit singles, being a top-selling artist and owning his own label, Derrty Entertainment, Nelly earned two Grammy awards in 2002 for singles Hot in Herre and Dilemma and another in 2004 for his collaboration with Murphy Lee and P. Diddy for Shake Ya Tailfeather.
This years performance will surely be enhanced by new releases from Nellys two new albums, Sweat and Suit, accompanied by the hip performance the rest of the St. Lunatic crew brings to DeKalb, Ill.
