Centre Events offers two events Dec. 20-21 at Coronado Theatre. The legendary Oak Ridge Boys will perform their Christmas Show at 8 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 20, and the Kantorei Singing Boys of Rockford will offer their 40th Anniversary Concert with alumni and special guests at 3 p.m., Sunday, Dec. 21.
The Oak Ridge Boys have one of the most distinctive and recognizable sounds in music. The four-part harmonies of The Oak Ridge Boys have spawned dozens of country hits and a No. 1 pop smash, earned them Grammy, Dove, CMA and ACM awards and garnered a host of other industry and fan accolades. Hits include Elvira, Bobbie Sue, and Dream On.

The Kantorei Singing Boys of Rockford is a non-profit, non-sectarian organization that serves boys ages 7-18 in the northern Illinois area. Hundreds of members have participated in the program, founded in 1964 by Linden Lundstrom.
A three-tiered program, Kantorei consists of approximately 90 members representing Rockford and many surrounding communities. The Performing Choir is composed of 5th through 12th grade students. The Cadet Choir and Training Choir are composed of 2nd through 5th graders and occasionally older students needing further skill development. Joel Ross is music director, and Diane Rodway Knight is associate director.
