Original design pendant highlights RDC fundraiser
Clodius & Co. has donated a necklace pendant with an original design for the Rockford Dance Companys annual fundraising event. The unique item highlights the Pick-a-Prize Raffle to be held at Sleeping Beautys Grand Ball following the evening performance of The Sleeping Beauty ballet on Saturday, April 13 at the Coronado Theatre.
The winner may choose one of four prizes, including the tourmaline and diamond pendant from Clodius, a landscaping package (including trees and shrubs) donated by Maneys Landscape, a Get-Away Weekend for two donated by the Clock Tower Resort, and a Waterford Crystal Bowl donated by the Friends of the Rockford Dance Company. Tickets for the raffle are $10 each or three for $25, and may be purchased from RDC board members, at the RDC office, or at the event.
Custom-crafted, the one-of-a-kind pendant from Clodius & Co. Jewelers features an 8-carat multi-faceted tourmaline with a pale burgundy color on two gold supports that suggest the legs of a ballerina on pointe. Small diamonds decorate the legs which are in yellow and white gold. Connie Dettman, president of the RDC Board of Directors, said, The board takes great pride in offering this unique work of art in our fundraising raffle. We hope everyone will buy a ticket to support the activities of the RDC–and to have a once-in-a-lifetime chance to own this stunningly handcrafted pendant. Clodius has placed it on display in their window, so please stop by their store on Stewart Square to see it in person.
The Rockford Dance Company, a non-profit organization located in the Riverfront Museum Park on North Main Street, preserves and presents the performance traditions of ballet and other dance styles. Three divisions carry out that objective: the performing Company, the School and the Outreach programs.
