OSF offers services for seniors

OSF Saint Anthony Medical Center is sponsoring several events for seniors in December.

Trained by the Illinois Department of Insurance, SHIP (Senior Health Insurance Program) volunteers meet with senior citizens on a one-to-one basis for Medicare counseling and assistance with health insurance questions. SHIP volunteers will be available from 9 to 11 a.m., Friday, Dec. 9, in the OSF Saint Anthony volunteer services office. To schedule an appointment, call (815) 395-5458.

A free blood pressure screening by a registered nurse will be available from 9 to 11 a.m., Wednesday, Dec. 21, in the OSF Saint Anthony volunteer services office. A door prize will be awarded. Registration is not required.
