OSF Saint Anthony offers service for seniors

OSF Saint Anthony Medical Center is offering several programs for seniors in August.

Trained by the Illinois Department of Insurance, SHIP (Senior Health Insurance Program) volunteers meet with senior citizens on a one-to-one basis for Medicare counseling and assistance with health insurance questions. SHIP volunteers will be available from 9 to 11 a.m., Friday, Aug. 11, in the OSF Saint Anthony volunteer services office. To schedule an appointment, call 395-5458.

A free blood pressure screening by a registered nurse will be available from 9 to 11 a.m., Wednesday, Aug. 16, in the OSF Saint Anthony volunteer services office. A door prize will be awarded. Registration is not necessary.

OSF Saint Anthony Medical Center, a Level I Trauma Center, is owned and operated by OSF HealthCare, an affiliate corporation of The Sisters of the Third Order of St. Francis, Peoria. The Medical Center’s Web site is www.osfhealth.com .
