As you enter through On the Waterfronts Festival gates, one of the first things you notice is the tempting aroma of the variety of food filling the air.
One of the best things about summer festivals is the hundreds of tempting snacks that line the walkways of the festival grounds. There are often so many choices that the most difficult part of the weekend is choosing which item to try next. This year will be no exception as Festival favorites return, and many new items make the scene at On the Waterfront Festival.
Everyone has their own favorites. Are you a pork chop sandwich fan? This festival favorite will be available at the ComEd Country Jam. Perhaps you have an international palate that craves dishes from around the world. Ethnic Village will be the place for you to grab an egg roll, crab Rangoon, or fried rice.
This year, the On the Waterfront Festival will also feature fried candy bars, smoked turkey legs and Hula Beans! All that eating can really wear you out, so be sure to grab a refreshing ice cold Pepsi, or try a delicious soft frozen product to keep you cool as you bask in the sun.
Three-day Waterfront admission buttons are $12 in advance, available at various locations. Cost is $14 for a one-day admission wristband at the gate. Children 8 and younger are free.
