Organizers of the On the Waterfront Festival have announced a special raffle that will benefit CeaseFire Rockford. The grand prize is a custom guitar that will be personalized by the festivals opening night performer, Cheap Trick.
Donated by Cheap Tricks Rick Nielsen, along with Hamer Guitars and Danaher Decorators, this brand new, double cutaway Hamer electric guitar, with 2 P-90 pickups and hard-shell case, has been custom painted in Cheap Tricks signature checkerboard style, and will be autographed and personalized by the band. Rick will also be playing it live, at the On the Waterfront Kick-Off Concert on Thursday, Sept. 1, on the Miller Lite Great Lawn in Davis Park.
Proceeds from the raffle will benefit CeaseFire Rockford, a community-based organization that works with at-risk individuals to help link them with services and opportunities and to emphasize that violence is not acceptable in our neighborhoods.
Raffle tickets are on sale now at the On the Waterfront corporate office at 308 W. State St., Suite 115.
Tickets will also be available prior to the drawing on the night of the concert at the ticket booths and performer merchandise tents in Davis Park. The winning ticket will be drawn at the concert on Thursday, Sept. 1. Winners do not need to be present to win.
