Give a little and take a little at the Rock River Valley Pantry’s Ninth Annual Festival of Art.

The festival will occur from 6 to 9 p.m. Nov. 17 at Giovanni’s, 610 N. Bell School Road. Admission is $5 or five non-perishable food items.

A silent auction will feature more than 45 donated works of art, including “anything from painting to pottery,” Michele Garcia of the pantry said.

The first 300 attendees will receive a box of Godiva chocolates. One box will contain a gemstone ring worth more than $1,000, donated by Crimson Ridge Florist. Hors d’ oeuvres and beverages also will be served.

The live auction starts at 7:30, and bidding for the silent auction continues until 8:45 p.m. Mike Banks will provide music.

All proceeds go toward the pantry, which provides food for an average of 700 families yearly. Garcia stated the event is significant. “Food costs are going up,” she noted. “This helps bring money and food in the pantry.”
