Park district offers spring events

Spring egg hunt at Playworld

Children ages 12 and younger are invited for play and fun at a special seasonal event Saturday, April 10, 9 a.m.-noon at Rockford Park District’s Sapora Playworld. Children will enjoy hunting for eggs in the lighted Playworld, meeting the Easter Bunny (photos available for $2), coloring eggs, making craft projects, and playing games. The three-story indoor playground is inside Carlson Ice Arena at 4150 N. Perryville Rd., Loves Park. Admission is $5 for children ages 3-12, and free for children ages 2 and younger. Community Center hosts egg hunt

Rockford Park District’s Washington Park Community Recreation Center, 3617 Delaware St., will hold its annual egg hunt for children ages 2-12 on Friday, April 9. Music, dancing, and prizes will also be part of the fun at the free event, which runs from 1-3 p.m. For more information, call 987-1612 (TTY, 963-DEAF). Spring/summer hours at greenhouse

Beginning April 1, Rockford Park District’s Sinnissippi Greenhouse will be open daily 9 a.m.-4 p.m. through November. There is no admission charge to visit the greenhouse, which houses an aviary, Mr. G’s Magic Garden, and seasonal floral displays. The greenhouse is at 1300 N.
