The NCAAs prestigious 65-team basketball tournament, known, as March Madness, is about to begin. This annual event is one of sports biggest spectacles, and seems to help basketball fans across the country usher out the last month of winter.
Tournament brackets have been copied and disseminated throughout offices, factories, restaurants, bowling alleys and dorm rooms across the country. All waiting to be filled out by anyone from the casual fan to the hard-core,doesnt sleep a wink during the tournament, expert. Wherever you may fall in that spectrum, good luck!
On a much smaller scale, Rockford will host its own version of March Madness. This one is presented by the Patriots Ambassadors. Their tournament will be March 24-25, and it is for boys in grades 3 through 11 and girls in grades 6 through 10.
The cost to enter the tournament is $250 per team, and the deadline for registration is March 9. Anyone wanting more information can contact tournament coordinator Reggie Biffle at (815) 967-0413 or (815) 670-3507.
