Pec Playhouse Theatre announces open auditions for its first show of its 2004 season, Dearly Departed, a comedy by David Bottrell and Jessie Jones. Auditions will be held at the theater at 314 Main St. in Pecatonica, Sunday, Dec. 28 at 2 p.m., and again on Monday and Tuesday evenings, Dec. 29 and 30, at 7 p.m. Auditions are open to anyone interested in an acting role or to volunteer for backstage or box office work. Those interested in auditioning should be prepared to read a section of dialogue from the script. Roles are available for men, women, boys and girls of all ages.
This will be the beginning of the 13th season for Pec Playhouse Theatre, a non-profit theater organization based in Pecatonica that produces five stage productions a year, several childrens theater camps, workshops and other activities for the area. The play is directed by Mary Ann Newton, who previously directed My Three Angels, Madams Been Murdered, and most recently a staged radio reading of Dracula.
