Poetry at Beloit Public Library April 16

Beloit Public Library is sponsoring a Poetry Reading & Open Mic program on Saturday, April 16th at 1 p.m. Well-known Wisconsin poet, Ron Ellis, will be reading poetry from his published works. Following the reading and discussion of Mr. Ellis’s poetry, participants are invited to read their own original poetry to the group. The program is free and open to the public and refreshments will be served. For more information call 364-2905.

Ellis is Associate Editor of “Rosebud” magazine as well as its art director and web author. Rosebud is a respected magazine dedicated to creative prose, poetry and visual art and is available at over 1000 bookstores in the US, Canada and Great Britain.

Ellis is the author of “The Blue Train” and “The Tenting Cantos. His albums of performance poetry include a six-CD set entitled “The Rough Cuts Series”, and the albums “Open My Eyes”, “Lunar Crescent Wrench”, and “Dangerous Odds”. His performance group, “Fuzzy Logic”, was featured last summer at the Wisconsin Book Festival in Madison.
