Points West: Galena Parade of Homes Oct. 14-15

GALENA—The 4th annual U.S. Bank Parade of Homes is set for 10 a.m.-4 p.m., Saturday and Sunday, Oct. 14-15.

This year’s theme, “Kaleidoscope of Creativity,” will leave visitors breathless as they visit 14 stunning homes, consisting of 12 homes in the Galena Territory, a town home in Galena and one home in Menominee. For more information, visit www.galenaparadeofhomes.com.

Tickets are $8 in advance at any Galena or Dubuque US Bank. On the days of the event, tickets are $10 at any of the homes or at Eagle Ridge Inn or at Preferred Properties, inside Spike’s Bar and Grill, just inside the entrance to the Galena Territory. Follow the signs to each of the homes.

New to this year’s event, is lunch at 39 Stony Point in the Galena Territory, built by Galena Hillside Homes. There, Cindy’s Catering will be offering a gourmet boxed lunch with your choice of entrees, plus chips, dessert, fruit cup and a drink all for $10, with a portion of the proceeds benefitting this year’s selected charities.

The 2006 US Bank Parade of Homes will benefit Habitat for Humanity of Jo Daviess County, Riverview Center, Inc., and CHOICES for Family Peace and Justice.
