CHERRY VALLEY—Prime Time Live Band will burn up the stage with fun, rockin’ dance music from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m., Friday, May 4, at Shooters East in the Cherry Bowl, 7171 CherryVale North Blvd.

The show will mark 20 years since the band’s first gig at the White Eagles Club on 15th Avenue. Hatched in the basement of bass player and co-founder Kerry Schaible, the group has logged nearly 800 shows.

Prime Time, one of the region’s busiest and most popular variety bands, has won “Best of Rockford” at On the Waterfront and a Rockford Area Music Industry (RAMI) award in the pop/retro category. Prime Time also has performed at Taste of Rockford, Cherry Valley Festival Days, Festa Italiana, Young at Heart Festival and Old Settlers Days, to name a few.

The band plays familiar and pleasing dance tunes from the ’50s through today’s current hits, including some retro, classic rock, country, blues and swing.

Steve Fierz has brought hot fiddle-playing into the band. With Nikki Heredia’s outstanding vocal ability, Tim Schulz’s blistering lead guitar, and Bill Englund’s dead-on drum grooves, it promises to be a tremendous show.

Former members are encouraged to attend. More information about the band is available at
