Are you interested in learning how to put a portion of your acreage to work by taking advantage of specialty and ethnic markets? If so, you will want to attend the upcoming workshop, “Putting Small Acreages to Work for You”, scheduled for 8 a.m. to 3 p.m., Saturday, November 9 at Rock Valley College, Rockford. The workshop is sponsored by University of Illinois Extension and Rock Valley College.

Interested in learning more about starting a business? Then the following sessions might interest you: “Developing a Business Plan,” “Understanding Ethnic Markets,” “Financing Your New Enterprise,” and “Services and Resources Available Through the Department of Agriculture.”

Do you want to know how to access specialty markets? Then consider attending these sessions: “Raising Sheep & Goats for Specialty Markets,” “Poultry for Profit,” “Where Are All the Good Ideas?” and “Building an Agritainment Business.”

Are you interested in fruits & vegetables for profit? You may want to attend “Prairie, Woodland or Wetland for Profit,” “Growing and Marketing Organic Products,” “Profit Potential in Commercial Fruits and Vegetables” and “Viticulture.”
