RAMP hosts 17th Annual Luncheon

RAMP will hold its 17th Annual Luncheon from 11:45 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 11, at Cliffbreakers, 700 W. Riverside Blvd., Rockford.

This year’s keynote speaker is Paul Templar, who is an adversity expert, adventurer, survivor, motivational speaker, philanthropist, safari guide, business coach and entrepreneur. Templar had a bad day at the office—while guiding an African safari, he was attacked and swallowed by an enraged hippopotamus, resulting in the amputation of his arm. After two years of rehabilitation, therapy and depression, he made the choice to live life again, the way he wanted to. Templar divides his time between the Make-A-Difference Foundation, working as a business coach and inspiring audiences with his riveting, dramatic and uniquely humorous story of how we create the life we want, one decision at a time.

RAMP’s Luncheon seeks to entertain and educate a broad range of people. The desired result is for people who attend to be more aware and supportive of RAMP’s mission—to promote an accessible society that allows and expects full participation by people with disabilities. The luncheon also provides RAMP the opportunity to inform and update the community about its current efforts and successes.

Sponsorship opportunities are still available—contact Deb Rogers at (815) 968-7467. Interested in attending the luncheon? To purchase individual tickets ($35 each) or a table of eight for $280, contact Alison Smith at (815) 968-7467.
