RBS and Judson join forces

140-year old Rockford Business College and Judson College held a press conference September 26 at RBS’s Church Street facility to sign papers and announce a partnership between the colleges.

The goal of partnering is to give students the opportunity to complete their A.A.S. degree and RBs and the transfer to Judson for a choice of bachelor’s degrees. The deal will allow students 100% credit transfer within NCA guidelines.

RBS offers degrees in professional fields such a medical assistant, paralegal, business accounting, Microsoft Certified systems administrator or engineer, Help Desk, Network and Software Specialist. the College is the only Level 1 IT Academy in the area.

Judson College, located at 973 Featherstone Road in Rockford, offers a variety of degrees in their AIM Program, including Criminal Justice, Management and Leadership, Human Services, and Human Resource Management, The AIM Program is an acronym for Adult Instruction Model, an accelerated format for the non-traditional learner.

Chair of the Computer Department at Rockford Business College said, “I think it is fantastic. It’s definitely a good opportunity for our students.” She also added that grants, scholarships and financial aid are available through Judson.
