Red Cross Health & Safety Seminar March 26

The American Red Cross will host a Health & Safety Seminar Saturday, March 26 from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. at Patriots’ Gateway 615 S. 5th St., Rockford. Classes include the following:


The American Red Cross Babysitter’s Training (ages 11-15 yrs.) course is an important first step toward becoming a safe, responsible and successful babysitter. Topics will cover issues such as professional behavior, leadership, hygiene and basic response to emergency conditions. Contact American Red Cross for registration at 963-8471, ext 12. Registration for the first 40 students will be free of charge, $13 after that.

First Aid/Adult cpr challenge

This class is for ARC Authorized instructors proficient in First Aid/Adult CPR performance who wish to challenge the course, and obtain a current ARC certification in these skills. The event is free of charge to those previously authorized to teach American Red Cross courses. Challenges will be conducted between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m.

First Aid/Adult CPR, AED instruction

This class will be conducted from 9 a.m. until 4:30 p.m., allowing one hour for a lunch period. Certificates will be issued upon successful completion of the course. Call American Red Cross to register 963-8471, ext. 12. Course fee is $22 for the first 40 participants who sign up, $35 after that.
