Reformers Unanimous banquet set for Oct. 27

Reformers Unanimous International will host its fourth annual banquet on Thursday, Oct. 27, at 6:30 p.m. at Cliffbreakers. RUI is the nation’s largest faith-based addiction abstinence program, with more than 400 chapters in the United States and western Europe.

RUI was founded by lifelong Rockford resident, Steven B. Curington. Every year, people come from throughout the U.S. and Europe to the International Training and Workshop Conference held in Rockford on the campus of North Love Baptist Church. The peak of the conference is the banquet. Some 800 to 1,000 people are expected to attend this event.

This year’s keynote speaker is Dr. David Gibbs, founder of the Christian Law Association and frequent cable news guest. Dr. Gibbs most recently represented Mrs. Terry Schiavo in her right-to-life case. Many government officials and community leaders are expected to attend. The public is invited to join RUI for this event.

For reservations, call (815) 986-0460. A free-will offering will be taken at the dinner.
