Regent Players host high school theater workshop

The Rockford College Regent Players will host a high school theater workshop at Rockford College, Clark Arts Center, Friday and Saturday, Oct. 28-29 (overnight option). The price is $45 (overnight), Saturday only $30.

Workshop price includes a T-shirt and lunch. The overnight option includes housing and meals. Friday starts at 6 p.m.; Saturday runs from 9:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. For a packet of information, call the Box Office at 815-226-4100. Clark Arts Center is accessible.

For the past five years, the Rockford College Regent Players have hosted a high school performing arts workshop. Each year, they teach high school students many of the skills college students have learned through their experiences both on campus and off.

Students may choose from nine different workshops with final performances at the end of Saturday. Workshops include: Monologue, two-plus people scenes, improvisation, dance, movement, light design, stage management, props, and college auditions.
