River District hosts open markets Saturdays in July

If you’re sick of the screaming madness of the mall or tired of driving miles to the nearest farmer’s market, the downtown River District has the perfect solution.

Every Saturday throughout July, a diverse mix of vendors, artists and restaurants will invade the downtown Main Street pedestrian mall (the area bordered by North Church, Elm, Wyman and Mulberry streets) to showcase their various offerings. Everything from paintings to birdfeeders will be offered at the four markets (July 10, 17, 24, 31). Hours are 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Following is a list of vendors scheduled for Saturday, July 10:

Venus Chocolates, Toomey Fiber Arts, Riley Windows, Pandora’s Party Tupperware, Arte Verde, Designs by Jeff, Lula’s, Cow Cat, Tastefully Simple, Dobratz Birdhouses, 1st Step Chiropractic, Schoefelder’s Woodworking and Jewelry, Marek’s Pottery and Art, Country Expressions, Octane, Kortman’s, Music by John Brandon and the Smash Ice Cream Stand.
