Have you ever wanted to sing the national anthem before a professional baseball game? Would you like to be a batboy at a game? The Rockford RiverHawks are looking for people to serve as national anthem singers and batboys during the upcoming 2007 home season.

Anyone wishing to sing the anthem can contact Erin Colombi at (815) 885-2255 to arrange an audition. Those selected will receive free admission, plus two tickets to share with family or friends, to the night they perform.

Applicants who would like to serve as batboys must be at least 12 years old. Their duties include retrieving loose bats and balls, as well as other tasks that may be requested by the clubhouse manager and athletic trainer. Batboys do not need to be available for all home games. Anyone wishing to become a batboy is requested to submit a brief essay stating why he or she would like to be a RiverHawks batboy. More information is available from Colombi at (815) 885-2255.
