Robert McCauley exhibits at Rockford College

The Rockford College Art Gallery will be home to an exhibition by Rockford College Art Department Chairman Robert McCauley.

Friday, Nov. 11, will feature a slide lecture from 6 to 7 p.m. in the Peterson Auditorium in the Starr Science Building (from the Gallery, exit Clark Arts Center at the Butterfield Horse and walk straight up to the next building) and reception 7 to 8:30 p.m. at Clark Arts Center on the Rockford College campus.

Regular exhibit hours will be Tuesday through Wednesday, 11 a.m.-2 p.m.; and Thursday through Saturday, 3-6 p.m. Exhibition dates are Nov. 11 to Dec. 9. Group exhibits are by appointment, and admission is free. Clark Arts Center is accessible. Call the box office at 815-226-4100 for more information.

The exhibition of works was created during McCauley’s recent sabbatical. McCauley’s work explores humankind’s impact and interaction with nature through use of representational imagery, which although often whimsical, always communicates and causes the viewer to contemplate the relationship of human and nature in contemporary society.
