Rock River Film Fest seeks entries

Do you yearn to videotape more than the family reunion or your sister’s wedding? Is your idea of compelling action more than a child blowing out birthday candles? Do you have a wonderful story to tell? Then you’re eligible to enter Rock River Film Fest 04! Storefront Cinema is once again proud to present the only local showcase for cinematic producing, directing and writing talent. The Fest features short film, video and animation works (up to 15 minutes in length). “This is our third year. We have had a tremendous response the last two years, from filmmakers as well as the fans. We’re excited at the prospects of this year’s festival. I can’t wait to see the entries,” says Rock River Film Fest organizer Kevin Cronin.

Enter the Fest for $25. If you’re a currently enrolled student, the entry fee is just $15. Submissions are accepted on MiniDV and VHS videotape only. The drop-off deadline is June 5. Entries by mail must be postmarked by May 29. Call (815) 967-0296 for an entry form or access

Entries will be judged by a local panel of film fans, and the winners will be presented during the Rock River Film Fest 04, June 25-27, in the Performing Arts Room (PAR) at Rock Valley College.

It’s time for Lights! Camera! Action! Get your entry in soon!
