Rockford artist and educator to paint at The King’s Table April 13 for Alzheimer’s Association

The Alzheimer’s Association announces that Steve Coogan, a Rockford artist and educator, will be painting at The King’s Table Café & Catering on Thursday, April 13 from 11:30 a.m.–1:30 p.m. as a preview for Unforgettable Art, the Alzheimer’s Association’s spring fund-raiser. Coogan has painted at Unforgettable Art since its inception, and The King’s Table Café & Catering is a sponsor of the fund-raiser.

Coogan has taught art to all age groups, from pre-schoolers to retirees. He has taught for the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, Spectrum School, Rock Valley College and The Rockford Art Museum. His work has been exhibited throughout the Midwest, and is represented in numerous private collections throughout the country.

The public is invited to stop by The King’s Table April 13 to watch Coogan as he works on one of his canvases. Musical entertainment will be provided by Ruth Boyd-Gustafson, a Rockford pianist. Café menus and additional information is available at There is no charge for this event.

The Alzheimer’s Association Greater Illinois Chapter provides information and support for area residents affected by Alzheimer’s disease.
