Rockford Bank & Trust opens second office

Rockford Bank & Trust officials announced the opening of their second location at 4591 Guilford Rd., just east of Alpine Road and south of Brookside Clinic.

The modular facility is open for business and is staffed by Mary Duffy and Linda Habedank. The office provides a drive-up lane and drive-up ATM, and serves as a complement to the downtown office, which opened in January 2005.

A permanent replacement for the modular building is under construction and is slated for occupancy in late 2006. The permanent project is expected to cost approximately $3 million.

“We are extremely excited about our expansion to the Guilford Road corridor,” said President and CEO Thomas D. Budd. “This expansion will dramatically enhance our ability to serve our current and future client base.”

The modular facility will serve Rockford Bank & Trust clients until the permanent facility is completed.

“While so many banks continue to move to the Perryville and Route 173 corridors, our research indicated a wonderful opportunity to once again locate in the heart of the city of Rockford,” Budd said. “Our plan to build a 20,000-square-foot banking facility at this site exemplifies our belief in this great city and its people.”

Rockford Bank & Trust was chartered Jan. 3, 2005, and is a commercially-focused bank committed to building a better Rockford. Rockford Bank & Trust employs 18 individuals and expects to employ 25 by the end of 2006.
