Rockford College hosts Christmas Tree Lane

Saturday, Dec., 10, from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Sunday, Dec. 11 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the Grace Roper Lounge at the Burpee Center on Rockford College campus, 40 Christmas trees will be displayed, lighted and decorated.

Several theme trees will be displayed, including an angel, Santa, patriotic, and a snowman tree. Also displaying will be an original 1950s aluminum tree with color wheel and a large 1950s Grandma’s tree complete with bubble lights.

In addition to the Christmas trees, live entertainment performing both days includes Rockford College chorale groups and a pianist. Nonperishable food items will be collected for the Rockford Rescue Mission food drive. Anyone attending the event is welcome to bring a camera to take pictures at the event.

The event is open to the public and admission is free. Accessible parking and a drop off zone will be available at the front door of the Burpee Center. The Burpee Center is accessible.
