Rockford College stages A Night of a Thousand Voices
Students from the Rockford College Performing Arts Department will present A Night of a Thousand Voices at 7 p.m. Friday and Saturday, April 5 and 6. A Night of a Thousand Voices is a collection of scenes and monologues, interpretive dance and musical numbers from recognizable playwrights, poets and authors from Angelou to Shakespeare.
Directed by James Rodriguez, a senior majoring in theater arts and marketing from Cicero, Ill., the Three-Penny production will be staged in Cheek Theatre, Clark Arts Center, Rockford College, 5050 E. State St. Seating is limited; there is no advance ticketing. Admission is three cents; donations are welcome. The case includes local residents Casey Murray, Dawn Niehaus and Rebekah Olmstead (also a costume designer) of Rockford, Charmaine Tidwell of Machesney Park; and Lighting Director Beth Drog, also of Rockford.
