Ruthless, The Musical, book by Joel Paley with lyrics by Joel Paley and Marvin Laird is a musical comedy about 8-year-old Tina Denmark, who knows she was born to play the part of Pippi Longstocking, and she knows she will do anything to win the part in her school musical. Anything includes murdering the leading lady. This musical hit garnered rave reviews during its off-Broadway run, which opened with Britney Spears in the leading role.
