The youthful elegance of the music, the artistic merit of Margaret Faust and her company of dancers, with the exquisite costumes of Julie Seger creates family entertainment that can’t be matched in this region.

Two public officials assume the roles of the Ugly Stepsisters. City Alderman Doug Mark and Boone County Health Department Administrator Doug Beardsley will reprise their roles of Ugly Stepsisters. It’s been six years since they did the roles for the first time. Fond memories have brought them back. Mark and Beardsley agree that they would do anything to assist the Dance Company in making Cinderella a huge success. Margaret Faust is ecstatic to have the two back because “they are so much fun to play with. Their comedic sense and energy will fill the evening with laughter!” Jill Beardsley will play the Stepmother.

Cinderella has 86 cast members including Company members, RDC school students and community adults. The Company Parent Group, AMCORE, Janet Kjellstrom, Belles Architecture Inc., Insight Communications, WNTA Radio, Classic Limousine and Williams-Manny Charitable Trust are sponsors. The production is also supported by more than 600 volulnteer hours.

Two long-time friends cast as Cinderella and the Prince, Natalie Seger and Alex Lntz, have been dancing together for more than 10 years. In the annual production of The Nutcracker, they have appeared as a couple in the Children’s Dance, as Clara and her brother, and then most recently as the flower soloist. Both have matured as dancers and speak very well.
