The Rockford School District will hold a financial aid night at 7 p.m., Tuesday, Jan. 7, 2003, to assist college-bound students and their parents with the financial aid process. This 90-minute program is sponsored by District 205 in cooperation with Rock Valley College, Rockford College and the Community Foundation of Northern Illinois. The program will be held in the Physical Education Center located on the Rock Valley College campus. Ms. Galler from the Illinois Student Assistance Commission will present the program. College financial aid administrators and high school counselors will also be present to answer financial aid questions. Doors open at 6:15 p.m. Community representatives will be there from 6:15 to 7 p.m.

Scholarships and financial aid do not just happen overnight! You need to know the WHAT, WHEN and WHY process of financial aid. This means WORK and no guarantees or promises. You will only get scholarships and financial aid if you apply. Arouse your curiosity. Read and enhance your knowledge. Be persistent because it does work.

There is no cost, and everyone is invited to attend.
