Rockford Writers’ Guild Gala July 15

Event includes 1 p.m. public reading, banquet by reservation only, and prizes in performance and traditional reading styles

Local and national writers will gather Sunday, July 15, to read their work published in the summer edition of the Rockford Review, a publication of the Rockford Writers’ Guild (RWG).

RWG welcomes all authors, of any genre, published or not, and holds regular free monthly meetings. The July meeting is the Gala, which will be at the Clock Tower Resort, 7801 E. State St., Rockford, from 1 to 3 p.m., July 15. The banquet at noon is $25 and by reservation only. The 1 p.m. reading is free and open to the public. The audience will vote for prizes in performance and traditional reading styles.

The latest edition of the Rockford Review will be released at the Gala. Its theme is “Change of Pace,” after a blended photo by C. Michael Becker of Naperville, a Guild member.
