Roscoe Antique Mall grand opening
Monday, June 2, marked the official ribbon cutting ceremony and first day of the grand opening celebration of the Roscoe Antique Mall of South Beloit. After four and a half years at its Route 251 location in Roscoe, the mall has reopened in a newer, expanded facility in South Beloit. The new location is two doors west of the Ramada Inn at the intersection of Routes 75 and 251. The move enabled them to expand their sales floor from 15,000 to more than 20,000 square feet.
The mall has been a draw for patrons from the local area, Chicago, Quad Cities, Milwaukee, Minneapolis and other cities, as well as customers from across the United States. Merchandise in the mall features a gathering of antiques from accross the globe, in addition to historical and nostalgic items from local communities. The Roscoe Antique Mall shows no crafts or modern-day items, and all merchandise must predate 1970. The collection of goods is a joint effort of more than 100 dealers working together to bring about one of the widest inventories of quality antiques.
Mall hours are 10 a.m. until 5 p.m., Monday through Friday, and 10 a.m. until 6 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday. Additional information may be obtained by calling 815/389-8800 or online at www.roscoeantiquemall.com.
