RSO offers Hollywood sound

Don’t miss those unforgettable and beloved tunes from the great American song book when Music Director Steven Larsen and the Rockford Symphony Orchestra welcome acclaimed vocalist Margaret Carlson at 8 p.m., Saturday, March 18, at the Coronado Theatre.

“The Great American Songbook” is the final concert of the season in the Pops Series. Carlson will sing jazz and Broadway favorites, including arrangements of Cole Porter, Richard Rodgers and Stephen Sondeheim.

Carlson has sung professionally since college in a variety of genres, including pop, rock and jazz. She resides in the Chicago area with her husband and their two children.
