Save Atwood, Lockwood & money!

The Rockford Park District continues to support the efforts of the Friends of Lockwood and Friends of Atwood Park to help the groups raise needed funds to keep the programs going through the sale and distribution of the Great Savings 2004 coupon booklet.

These coupon books make a great stocking stuffer!

Each coupon booklet costs $15, and the publisher will let the Rockford Park District keep $10 for each booklet sold. Customers can designate on the order form the $10 to benefit either Atwood/Aldeen or Lockwood, or $5 each.

Coupon booklets are on sale at the Sinnissippi Park Office at 1401 N. Second St. Business hours are Monday-Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Saturday, Dec. 20 from 8:30 a.m. to noon. Coupon booklets can be ordered by phone with a credit card for $16.25 (which covers postage) by calling 987-8800 (TTY, 963-DEAF).

Other outlets for coupon booklets include the gift shop at Midway Village & Museum Center, Burpee Museum, and Discovery Center Museum at Riverfront Museum Park.

The District is working with the Friends of Atwood/Aldeen and the Friends of Lockwood Park to continue the school year environmental education programs at Atwood Park and the Let’s Go See program at Aldeen Park, and the equestrian programs at Lockwood Park. The sale of coupon books by the Friends group is a way to fund-raise for keeping these programs in existence.
