Change is in the air for this years Shrine Circus, presented by the Tebala Shrine of Rockford.
With a move to the indoor air-conditioned comfort of the Indoor Sports Center (ISC) on Riverside and the booking of the Hamid Circus from Egg Harbor, N.J., the 56th annual event takes a step out of the past and into the future.
Three performances are scheduled daily at 1 p.m., 4 p.m. and 7 p.m., June 8-10. General admission is $12 for adults and $8 for children ages 11 and younger, with special reserved seating in the Ringmasters Club in ISCs Skybox.
Each performance of the Shrine Circus will be approximately one-and-a-half hour in length. The three-ring circus is hosted by Ringmaster Peter Sturgis, with the help of celebrity ringmasters from local media and the community. In addition, shows will feature the Barrada Elephants, the Hamid Circus Tigers, the Lucianos Pound Puppies, the Flying Pages, the Cloud Swing and much more.
