Ski Broncs offer summer of 'Around the World in 80 Days!'

Local water ski team to offer free water ski stunt shows every Wednesday and Friday throughout the summer at Loves Park’s Shorewood Park

The Ski Broncs water ski team will perform free water ski stunt shows every Wednesday and Friday night this summer at 7 p.m. at Shorewood Park in Loves Park.

They will offer a version of “Around the World in 80 Days!” They also hope to answer some of the following questions throughout the season:

Can a small human survive speeds of 50 miles per hour—on the shoulders of barefoot water skiers?

How many girls does it take to circle our jump ramp—with no hands?

Ever see a skier leap from the top of a giant elephant rump?

Two turns on a swivel ski—720 degrees—is that enough?

Horseplay on the beach—Cavalry on stage?

Are there some things that should never be flown?

Answers at every show! Bring the whole family.

Since 1967, the Ski Broncs have proven to be an asset to the community, providing free water ski shows at Shorewood Park. Following a summer of floods and wake restrictions, the Broncs are back with many new skiers. Fun for all ages, the Ski Broncs are building toward national prominence while entertaining the community.

New members are always welcome. Skiers and “dry” helpers are needed, with something for everyone.

NOTE: Due to bridge construction on Pearl Street, access from North Second is via River Lane, then south on Bennett to Shorewood Park. Or, Riverside, then south on East Drive to Shorewood Park.
