In my many years as a psychic consultant, I have been blessed to meet wonderful as well as unusual individuals. I have found missing children and pets, helped distressed people find their way around various crises including illness, divorce, addiction, death and changes in employment. My day is never boring. However, the most frequent subject discussed at my table is “love”. The question I hear most often is “is he/she my soulmate?”. As if there is only one person on this planet that can make who connection. I’m certain this stems from the many books; bits and pieces that indicate there is “only one” written on the subject of love that will make your life complete. The “one” that will fix all of your wounds from childhood on up, until the here and now.

Well, let me try to shed a little light on this stifling thought process. Soul mates and guardian angels come in many forms and from many different angles.

Each love relationship in which we entangle ourselves is a lesson. Look back past the bitterness and hurt of the past relationships, and recognize what you learned from them. Everyone comes into our lives for a reason. Bless and acknowledge the past lessons, and abracadabra, your “soul mate” will be standing in front of you.

Don’t be a victim, don’t assume the past will follow you into the present. Be conscious of how your past affects the present. Take each individual at face value. Just because the last one was a cheat does not mean the new one can’t go anywhere by himself/herself. Do you worry about being made a fool? Anyone who accepts your love and does not respect it is the fool, not you.

Love is a lesson teaching us about ourselves. Can one other individual fix everything in our lives? The answer is “no.” When we enter a relationship, it is to share a life together. We must enter a relationship centered. Go within and heal your own wounds to the best of your ability.

Break your own patterns and barriers. It is then and only then that your “soul mate” will enter the scene, and when they do, recognize this as a blessing.
