Speaker from Magnificent Mile at Heart of Rockford Awards
The president and C.E.O. of Chicagos Magnificent Mile, also known as the Greater North Michigan Avenue Association (GNMAA), will speak at the River District Associations 16th Annual Heart of Rockford Awards dinner on Wednesday, July 17. The awards, presented by Associated Bank, will take place beginning at 5:30 p.m. at Lots A Pasta, a new Italian restaurant, 301 S. Main St., downtown Rockford. Following the address, awards will be presented by the River District Association to outstanding recipients in several categories. Tickets, priced at $35 and $40, are still available by calling (815) 964-6221.
Russell C. Salzman, CAE and the GNMAA are credited with helping to redevelop Chicagos near north side into one of the most established and well-known retail, residential and commercial districts in the United States. The work of the GNMAA continues to be critically important in articulating and preserving neighborhood standards and marketing the district that calls The Magnificent Mile its backbone of development and growth. Mr. Salzman has been with the GNMAA for 12 years and continues to lead the organization in planning and development, marketing and brand management, member program and services management and external civic affairs in Chicago and the state of Illinois.
