Part 1: The Photovoltaic Market in Illinois, the United States and the WorldMark Burger, president of the Illinois Solar Energy Association and principal of Kestrel Development Company, a zero energy building development and consultation company. Burger will provide an overview about the growth of solar photovoltaic local, national and global markets, including impact of silicon supply and new commercialized applications.
Part 2: Venture Capitalists PerspectiveJames J. Greenberger, J.D., chairman, Renewable Energy Practices Group of Sachoff & Weaver. He represents developers, investors and lenders in renewable energy projects including wind power, ethanol, biodiesel and biorefinery projects.
Greenbergers presentation will highlight the perspective of venture investors.
Part 3: Wind EntrepreneurshipJesse Kharbanda, Environmental Law & Policy Center. Kharbanda is a policy advocate working on ELPCs Energy Project. Before joining ELPC, Mr. Kharbanda worked in the management development program of an industrial supplies company in the Chicago area and studied development economics as a Rhodes Scholar.
He previously worked as a researcher at Resources for the Future.
