Special seminar on donor cultivation fund-raising

The Northern Illinois Planned Giving Council (NIPGC) and the Association of Fund-raising Professionals Rockford Chapter (AFP) are holding a special seminar, “Working Towards a Fool Proof Major Gift Program Through Donor Cultivation and Moves Management Techniques,” by William T. Sturtevant, from 7:30 a.m. to noon, Friday, April 13, at Giovanni’s.

Sturtevant is a nationally recognized speaker and coach in major and deferred gifts planning and solicitation strategies. He is the vice president of Principal Gifts, University of Illinois Foundation and is the founding director of the Institute for Charitable Giving. He authored The Artful Journey: Cultivating & Soliciting the Major Gifts. The seminar is sponsored by The LaLoggia Investment Group of Wachovia Securities.

Continuing Education points have been granted by CFRE International. The cost to attend is $60 for NIPGC and AFP members. The rate for non-members is $85.
