Special skate and play events

Rockford Park District’s Carlson Ice Arena and Sapora Playworld invite families to enjoy special nature-themed play and skate sessions on Sunday, April 10. From 1 to 4 p.m., children ages 12 and younger can play in the lighted “Nature World” Playworld indoor playground, make crafts, play games, and see and learn about a live python snake, owl and hawk. Admission is $5 for ages 3-12; free for ages 2 and younger.

Carlson Ice Arena’s “Skatin’ Back to Nature” public session will run from 2 until 4 p.m. on April 10, with music provided by a live DJ. Admission to skate is $5 including skate rental for ages 5 and older; free for ages 4 and younger, skate rental not included.

Attend both events for the special Skate ‘N Play price of $7. Carlson Ice Arena is at 4150 N. Perryville Rd. in Loves Park (Playworld located inside the facility).
