From 5 to 11 p.m., Friday, June 2, the Barbara Olson Center of Hope will host its biggest fund-raiser ever at Rockford Speedway.
Local bands, including The Hitmen, Fusion, Toad Soup and headlining group Clutch Cargo, have come together to donate their time and talents to raise money for programs that support people with developmental disabilities.
This event will be featured on ESPN 1380, and WREX Channel 13. OSF Health Plans has donated a tethered hot air balloon to this event to provide balloon rides.
In the past, the communitys support has made this a successful event with raffle donations and sponsorships. The Center of Hope is developing several new businesses that will create more jobs for people with developmental disabilities. Business and individual contributions to the Barbara Olson Center of Hopes annual event will help launch these businesses designed to lessen the Centers dependence on state funding and increase job opportunities for those we serve.
