State rep. offers town hall meetings

Rep. Chuck Jefferson is hosting four town hall meetings in the next couple of months to get input from residents about state and local issues.

“As your state representative, I do not only represent business, organizations and government, but the opinion of the Rockford citizen,” said Jefferson. “This is a chance for all people to come out and tell me what they think should be a priority when I represent them in Springfield.”

All residents, as well as elected officials and community leaders are invited for the open forum discussion. Five meetings will cover each corner of the 67th District, including downtown Rockford. These meetings are a chance for people to express their concerns of what government should focus on locally in Springfield.

“As soon as session begins in January, I want to make sure all the people of my district had a chance to tell me what they think is a priority. It’s the people of Rockford whose voice matters when it comes to my votes in Springfield,” said Jefferson.
