Imagine yourself relaxing in downtown Rockford, dining on gourmet specialties from 15 of Rockfords finest chefs, dancing under the stars to local favorite Men of Our Times all while enjoying the sound of friends having a great time on the banks of the Rock River.
This fifth annual social event is set for 7 p.m., Saturday, July 21. The Steppin Out with Jane & Homer party is a fund-raising event for Burpee Museum that attracts museum friends from near and far.
What makes this event unique is the location, the time of year and the food, said event Co-Chairman Sue Castrogiovanni. People rave about the opportunity to dine on food from Giovannis, Kumas Asian Bistro, KiKi Bs, Basil Café, Bacchus, University Club and many more in such an intimate outdoor setting.
The event is a casual lawn party, and the public is invited. Cost is $75 per person.
