Stewart, Kenseth race in Madison June 27

Defending Nextel Cup Champion Tony Stewart and fellow NASCAR star Matt Kenseth will race in Madison, Wis., Tuesday, June 27.

The two will appear at Madison International Speedway for the All-Star Challenge, presented by The Bold Look of Kohler. They will not only race against one another, but also will compete against the area’s best late model stars in a 100-lap shoot-out.

Advance ticket prices are $19 for adults 16 and older. Students are $12. All children 9 and younger are free, if accompanied by an adult who has purchased an advance ticket. Tickets must be ordered no later than Saturday, June 17. The racetrack is at 1122 Sunrise Rd. in Oregon, Wis., about a one-hour drive from the Rockford area. Exact directions to the track can be obtained at .

Gates open at noon, practice begins at 12:30 p.m., qualifying at 4 p.m. and first race at 7 p.m. In case of rain, the event will be Wednesday, June 28.
