Stillman Valley Fall Festival ‘focuses on growth’ Sept. 24-26

Stillman Valley will be celebrating the annual Stillman Valley Fall Festival (SVFF) Sept. 24-26 at the school grounds. The theme of this year’s festival will be “Focused on Growth.” In correlation with this year’s theme, the Carnegie Choral Performance Group has been elected as Honorary Citizens of the Fall Festival. Parade Marshals of the festival will be the Stillman Valley High School Class 3A State Football Champions.

Many exciting events are planned, including a fireworks show on Friday evening (sponsored by Stillman Bank), and free admission to the following attractions: Antique Tractor Show, Baking Contest, Businessmen’s Dance, Car Show (charge for entries), Chili Cook-off, Craft Show, Flea Market, Horticulture Show, Musical Entertainment, Parade, Quilt Show, Children’s Sports Competition, Sumo Wrestling, and a Garden Railroad Display.

Events that charge a small admission price include the Stillman Valley Fire Protection District Dance and Breakfast, Evangelical Covenant Church Swedish Pancake Breakfast, the 2K and 5K Fun Run, and the Farm Toy Show. Skinners’ Amusements, arranged by the Stillman Valley Lions’ Club, provides carnival rides and games. The Fall Festival Parade will be held on Sunday, Sept. 26 at 1 p.m.
