Storytelling series for adults

Rock Valley Storytelling presents the second concert of its winter Storytelling for Adults series, “Fools, Fables, & Fantasy,” featuring professional storyteller Leanne Johnson, at 7:30 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 21.

The concert will be at 3424 N. Main St. Admission is $10 per person. Seating is limited, and reservations are strongly recommended. Refreshments and door prizes will be provided.

Johnson combines her love of music with her passion for storytelling to bring new life to old tales, original stories, poetry and songs for listeners of all ages.

She has been telling stories professionally since 1989, and has shared her tales from the Midwest to Ireland. She has been featured at numerous events, including the Door County Storytelling Festival in Wisconsin, Historic Rugby Days in Tennessee, the Northlands Storytelling Network Conference, and the annual Fox Valley Folk Festival in Geneva.

In July 2003, Johnson was one of the featured performers at the prestigious Regional Concerts of the National Storytelling Conference. She has also enjoyed sharing stories in numerous libraries, parks, churches, schools, retreats, and for a variety of special organizations.
