The Feast iteray magazine holds poetry, short story contest


Win money for your creativity! The Feast, the Rockford College Literary Magazine, is holding a poetry and short story contest. The contest is open to all Rockford College students and members of the Rockford community. There is a limit of five submissions per person, and fees are $5 for the first submission and $1 for each additional submission (for example, $6 for two, $7 for three, $8 for four and $9 for five submissions). All entries must be in by January 18, 2001. The prizes will include certificates from local businesses. The Feast asks all interested artists to follow these guidelines:

• Please keep essays and short stories less than 2000 words;

• Please keep poetry selections less than 50 lines;

• Send two copies of each submission; on one copy, include: author/artist name, title of submission, contact address and phone number (which will be used to notify the artist/author or publication);

• A signature of the author/artist is required in order for consent to publish materials;

• Submissions may be sent to: The Feast, c/o Jonathan Fowler, Rockford College, 5050 E. State St., Box #172, Rockford, IL 61108.
