The 3rd Annual Illinois Renewable Energy Fair at the Ogle County Fairgrounds, Aug. 7-8, continues to grow. In 2002, 1,500 vendors, volunteers and visitors attended—in 2003, 1,700—this year, 1,900! The fair featured everything from new windmills, to alternative fuels vehicles, to field trips to area homes powered by solar and wind energy and much, much more. The variety and quality of the vendors and the presentations by alternative energy experts impressed all who attended. We hope to see you next year; don’t miss out on how the future will be powered, today! Our columnists, Drs. Bob and Sonia Vogl, deserve great praise for their direction of the IREA and their hard work and dedication to the fair.
